Once the learning process has taken place. The Assessor is the person that will assess the learning process and will deem the learner competent or not yet competent. In most training organisations like My Training Academy, we allow for the learner to submit remedial work in order to be deemed competent.
Once the learning and Assessment process has taken place, the Moderator will step in. The moderator is the person that oversees that the whole learning and assessment process was completed according to all the relevant outcomes and requirements.
Once you have completed a course with us, we register you with the ETDP Seta which is the Seta that gives you the accreditation to be a Facilitator/ Assessor/Moderator. You then take this proof of your accreditation to the relevant Seta which you wish to Assess and Moderate for and register yourself there. The first thing they are going to ask you is for your proof that you are an accredited Facilitator/Assessor/Moderator and this is what you obtain from us.
This is depended on you as the learner. Once you have submitted your POE, we assess it within a week or two. If there is any remedial work for the learner to complete, we allow time for that as well. Once the learner has been deemed competent, the next step is moderation and external moderation from the EDP Seta. We try and have the process done within three months, but all of the above factors do play a role.
